Making feel-good honey, recycle-ready with Real Good Honey

Real Good Honey wanted guidance to ensuring their medicinal honey packaging was fit for Australia’s material recovery systems and help to refine brand messaging.

recycle-ready

Approach: We conducted an in-depth audit of Real Good Honey’s packaging system.  A collaborative approach with their packaging design agency, The Colour Club led to the creation of a simple, and actionable packaging design strategy. This detailed recommendations to eliminate, refine or redesign packaging components while improving on-pack communication and supporting Real Good Honey to become APCO members and work towards our National Packaging Targets.

Impact.

  • Achieved 100% recyclable and conditionally recyclable packaging in line with PREP assessments.

  • Integrated recycled content through supplier engagement.

  • Onboarded the brand to APCO compliance and reporting.

  • Included the Australian Recycling Label (ARL) on all packaging.

  • Defined key messaging to bring Real Good Honey’s sustainability story to life for retail and customer engagement.
